Who is a Good Candidate for Surgical Treatments?

Because surgical treatments of hereditary hair loss can only move existing hair, it can only work properly with people whose remaining hair is sufficient to cover balding spots, and who are likely to retain it for some time. With recent advances in hair transplantation surgery even people with up to 50 percent of their head balding may still be able to create the look of a full and natural set of hair. If your genetic hair loss has passed beyond this stage then you will not be able to restore a full set of hair, but you may still be able to redistribute hair to a degree that may restore a pleasing look to your head.
